Galeton Schoolhouse Cabins - Doe Cabin

This newly built single-family cabin is nestled in the scenic mountains of Potter County, Pennsylvania, often referred to as “God’s Country.” The cabin accommodates up to four guests and includes a queen bedroom along with bunk beds located in the main living and kitchen area. Situated on the grounds of the historic Johnson Brook Schoolhouse, this accommodation features a private covered porch with a table and chairs, creating a relaxing space to take in the scenic mountain views of Potter County. The property was previously operated as Doc's Motel and most recently as JT's Motel. The cabin is conveniently located just minutes from Galeton and less than 30 minutes from popular area attractions, including the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum, Coudersport, historic Wellsboro, Cherry Springs, and several other state parks. State Game Lands No. 64 is also located near Galeton, offering approximately 8,057 acres of public land for outdoor recreation. This is a one-bedroom cabin with a single queen bed in the bedroom, and a set of bunks in the main portion of the cabin. This is the ideal for a couple or family with small children to use the bunks. The bunks are in the combined kitchen/living room area. There is a futon, however no linen is provided so plan accordingly. See the building layout in the photos. The kitchenet offers a basic selection of kitchenware to be able to prepare your own food if you choose. There is a countertop 2 burner stove, as well as microwave and refrigerator. Basic pots, pans, dishes, and utensils are provided. There is a Keurig and Drip coffee pot provided. There are pods and cream/sugar to get you started as shown in the photos. If you drink a lot of coffee, ensure you pack extra! There is no onsite laundry. Galeton does have laundromat just minutes away located at 3 West Street, Galeton PA 16922.
